Kalamkari is a beautiful art from the southern parts of India - with two distinctive forms known as Machillipatnam and Srikalahasti, relating to the areas where they are found. Srikalahasti refers to the pen kalamkari version of this art, where all designs are drawn by hand, and painted manually too. This involves a range of steps which involve cow dung and milk. It's a very labourous and tedious process, which is why it's more expensive than it's other counterparts. **Colours may vary slightly due to a difference in fabric and digital colours.

Wash instructions: Handloom fabrics tend to bleed in the initial washes due to the presence of natural dyes. Please do not soak them in water, as that can lead to the overlapping of colours. Wash and dry them in shade. First wash dry cleaning is recommended as that is known to strengthen the colours leading to less bleeding further on.
