Bagh block print is local to the town of Bagh in Madhya Pradesh. This hand block printin technique has been going on for centuries, with the art being limited to the family members and passed on to future generations. Bagh is distinctive with its extensive use of paisley motif and rich look.
The most common colours used in Bagh are white and maroon, with more distinct colours like pink, purple and blue becoming more popular with time. The hand block printing uses natural dyes, and therefore bleeds slightly upon wash.
**Colours may vary slightly due to a difference in fabric and digital colours.
Wash instructions: Handloom fabrics tend to bleed in the initial washes due to the presence of natural dyes. Please do not soak them in water, as that can lead to the overlapping of colours. Wash and dry them in shade. First wash dry cleaning is recommended as that is known to strengthen the colours leading to less bleeding further on.
